A heartening report from the first bone scan can carry the headline for today's update. They did the first of two bone scans today, checking to see if the cancer has attached to the bone, and the scan came out clear. While the second, more sensitive scan, may show something different, at the very least, we know that there are no substantial bone growths, which is very good news.
In other good news, Andrew ate 2/3 of 1/2 of a piece of French Toast today. If my fifth grade math is correct, that is a full 1/3 of a meal, which is also worthy of celebration after 3 days of no eating (lollipops aside.)
And finally, with a shout-out to those of you who have offered up a pint or two of your blood, Andrew received his first bag of designated blood today in a transfusion. Thank you to those of you who have given, and thank you also to those of you who are gearing up to give soon.
